Mikrostyk: From production of metal components to social integration
Mikrostyk, known for the production of metal components, stamping, and metal cutting, has been operating in Gniew since the 1950s, securing a strong position in the local job market. As a company deeply connected with the community, we decided to offer something special to the society—our employees, their families, and the residents of the municipality—a unique place for entertainment and culture. Thus, the Mikrostyk Station Foundation was born, our innovative cultural initiative.
Inspired by the needs of the local community, we created a mini container complex called Stacja Mikrostyk. Located next to the company and Gniew Castle, Stacja Mikrostyk offers catering facilities and a stage where free workshops, concerts, picnics, and family festivals are held. This initiative quickly gained popularity, becoming a central meeting point for residents.
The success of Stacja Mikrostyk would not have been possible without the commitment of Mikrostyk's employees. Numerous hours of employee volunteer work during the construction of this place are a testament to the team's strong dedication. After their workday producing metal components, the company's employees eagerly visit Stacja, co-create it, and are present in its activities. The entire place is infused with our solutions and ideas, and you can even find vintage machines that were once part of Mikrostyk's production line for metal components.
The primary business goal of establishing Stacja Mikrostyk was to instill pride in our employees for the Stacja Mikrostyk brand. Seeing our employees spending their free time with family and friends at Stacja, we can confidently say that this goal has been achieved. This place has become a symbol of integration and collective action for the local community.
Since our inception, we have been involved in charitable activities, social, and ecological initiatives. However, it is Stacja Mikrostyk that has truly integrated the company with the local environment, creating a genuine "chemical reaction" in our relationships with the residents. We aim to show that the production of metal components can go hand in hand with caring for society and culture.
