As result of the project to build a self-regulating straightener, the first prototype of a metal tape straightening device equipped with a control system has already been created. This control system is designed to define the position of the straightening rolls based on the measurement of the flatness of the strip coming out of the straightener and the stamping part from the tool. The system has been verified under laboratory conditions and is currently in production testing.
